Welcome to the Jacksonville Volleyball Group! We're a fun group of volleyball enthusiasts that enjoy the game for exercise, fun & sun. Some helpful info:

VOLLEYBALL PLAY

All players should be familiar with and willing to play team volleyball where we use all three touches (bump, set, hit). This makes it fun for everybody. Also, you are not allowed to touch the net or cross under it for safety reasons. The honor policy of calling yourself in the net is greatly appreciated. Please refrain from the use of profanity.

WHAT TO BRING

On the beach: Don't forget water, sunscreen & sunglasses. A folding chair and an umbrella or some form of shade is also a good idea.

South Beach Park: Restroom facilities are available and there is a water fountain. There are 3 sand courts there.

Florida Blue Campus: Has restroom facilities and water fountain. YOU MUST BE A PAID MEMBER AND SIGN A WAIVER TO PLAY THERE (no trial members).

RSVP

Please RSVP. It helps us know how many nets to set up on the beach or how many courts we need to reserve at the park.

COST

You have a 30 day free trial and if you wish to remain a member after that, all we request is only $40 (cash or check) per person per year to help cover the costs of purchasing equipment. If you pay online it is $44 per year per person to cover extra fees that Meetup charges. We have made a sizable investment to purchase quality portable nets with boundary lines, balls, repairs and upgrades to the public nets at South Beach Park and various equipment.

Again, welcome to the group and we look forward to meeting you!
