What we’re about

Welcome to Jacksonville Feral Cat Rescue: Your Local Colony Caretaker and Trapper Network.

The Jacksonville Feral Cat Rescue group is a place where colony caretakers and trappers can meet to share information and transfer knowledge to make Jacksonville a better place for feral cats.

I decided to start this group after discovering that there are little or no resources available in our community for someone who is trying to find help for feral cats. Although we have a new low cost spay/neuter clinic in town, there is no assistance offered in the way of training trappers or colony caretakers.

I know there are experienced trappers and colony caretakers out there who are overwhelmed with the work they are doing, and there are others who are brand new to this who want to help and learn.

This meetup is the first step toward starting a network of people who can teach, learn and help each other, so we can adequately address the needs of the feral cat population in Jacksonville.

No feral cat should die on our streets of hunger, disease, exposure or apathy.

If you love cats, or if you just can't sit by and watch innocent creatures suffer, please join so we can start to gather our resources, experience and knowledge to help make life better for the voiceless among us.
