The Jacksonville Linux Users’ Group (or JaxLUG) is a diverse assembly of Linux users (beginners, casual desktop users, system administrators, developers, and IT professionals) who have a passion for supporting Linux and Free Open Source Software (FOSS).

JaxLUG is based out of Jacksonville, Florida and is open for anyone to join regardless of skill level, experience, background, profession, goals, interests, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation or geographic location.

Founded by Daniel Stringfield in 1996, JaxLUG is led by its elected Officers who are overseen by the Board of Trustees and is governed by a community charter.
