Finally, a meetup for jazz musicians and jazz enthusiasts in Detroit and surrounding areas!
Some other forms of music may be represented here also (classical, some blues, and some latin-based music) but this group is designed mainly for jazzers.
Certain charities and/or charitable events may be represented here also, if they collaborate with some jazz group or groups.

Wayne State Jazz: Big Band. Free

It's time to swing! The Jazz Big Band is back in March, and will be directed by Professor Vincent Chandler.
The Big Band is WSU's premier ensemble performing classic and contemporary jazz.

Ben Sharkey Live at The Indigo Room
The Norwood, 6531 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI, USTHURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2026: The Indigo Room is a 2 Stones Events Live Music Series featuring intimate shows with a speakeasy vibe under The Norwood in Detroit's New Center area. March 5 features the fabulous Ben Sharkey!
Show is 7:30 - 9:00 pm; doors will open 30 minutes prior. This is a listening-room experience with a full-service bar.
