We are returning for another instalment of the "Rust by Example" educational series. This week we are looking at the flow of control chapter.
This hands-on session covers Chapter 8: "Flow of Contol" focusing on the primitives which control the flow. These are fairly basic to those coming from another language. Although Rust does have a few unique elements not found in most languages.
⚠️ New to the series? Arrive early (5:45pm) for setup help and a quick recap of previous content.
⏰ Schedule:
18:00-18:30: Networking with refreshments (join other tech communities)
18:30-20:00: Rust by Example
🎯 Who should attend:
Those who attended our previous sessions (perfect continuation!)
Developers with basic Rust setup who want to join the series
Anyone curious about Rust's powerful type system
Programmers from other languages wanting to see what makes Rust special
📋 What to bring:
Your laptop with Rust installed (we can help if needed)
Questions from your own coding experiments
Experience with types from other languages (we love comparisons!)
This is a great follow on to te types we created in the last session!
Looking forward to seeing returning Rustaceans and welcoming new faces! 🦀
