Monthly Joburg Rust Chat!

This is an informal chat about anything related to the Rust programming language. Bring your own topics that you'd like to talk about. We follow the Lean Coffee format for facilitating a structured, but agenda-less, gathering.

• The Agenda-less Agenda *

• 16:00: Event starts, everyone says 'hi', Justin introduces the lean coffee format. We make small talk while everyone adds suggestions for conversation topics to a virtual whiteboard. Add a 'thumbs up' to any topic you're also interested in.
• 16:10: We pick up the most voted topic, and start discussing it.
• When the group is done with the topic, we'll pick up the next most voted topic.
• Add a new topic or vote to the whiteboard at any time. If something someone says sparks an unrelated thought and you don't want to derail the current conversation, add it to the whiteboard!
• 17:00: We say goodbye and everyone disappears to go cook supper.

We meet online using Jitsi Meet. Jitsi is an open source videoconferencing tool. You can either join in your web browser (Firefox or Chrome only), or download the mobile app. You don't need to create an account to use Jitsi, just tell it your name as you join.
