Eine Partie Schach gefällig? at Bibliothek Länggasse

The Kornhausbibliothek in the Länggasse runs this one together with the Schachklub Bern.

It is an afternoon of chess for adults, and as far as we can tell it is the only regular open chess in Bern you can walk into without joining a club first. They call it a course rather than a games night, so expect someone to show you things instead of just a room with the boards out. It runs in German, though a chessboard carries most of the conversation on its own.

Free, and they say an email ahead is welcome but not required.

Meeting people is easy. Seeing them again is the hard part. That's the part we work on.
