Bilderclub at Zentrum Paul Klee

An open group of art-interested people at the Zentrum Paul Klee that meets regularly to spend a whole session with a single artwork. The organisers frame it as three questions: "Was sehe ich? Was siehst du? Wie verstehen wir es?" - what do I see, what do you see, how do we understand it? Each meeting runs through individual viewing, then an exchange about the visual experience, then interpretation and discussion: how do we read what we see, what associations does it trigger, is there a link to the times the work was made in? The Zentrum's art educators supply art-historical context on request, but only if the group wants it. No prior knowledge of art history is needed, and the organisers stress that newcomers can join at any point and join the discussion: "Interessierte sind jederzeit willkommen einzusteigen und mitzudiskutieren." The group gathers at the museum cafe.
