About us
Hello all!
My name is Jon and I am an experienced hiking leader, nature and wildlife lover and fond of history and nature photography.
Follow me, my hikers and our trips on my Instagram jonstrails or jonathanhenrotay, my website is jonathanhenrotayoztek.com
I have recently decided to stretch my wings and create this group and help others to live my passion through my trails. Hiking has helped me to really live through difficult times by meeting the most wonderful people and have a daily impact on my happiness.
Let me take you to those amazing places and let you forget about the stress of the daily life and meet up with the most awesome people!
If you are lonely, if you like to meet people, wonder at the nature or just bored, join us like many have done before and let us take you out on a great day out, get some fresh air and laugh, cry and glaze at the stars.
Life is made to be enjoyed and is there a better place to live it than the world that surrounds us?
My trips are open to everyone, beginners or hardcore hikers, whoever you are, whatever you look like, wherever you are from, whoever you love, whether you are a believer or a non-believer, we will enjoy the most wonderful places that mother nature has created, surrounded by the friendliest people enjoying the richness of our differences and our surroundings.
If you need to stop for any reason, whether it is to pray, inject some insulin, or just for a rest, do not hesitate to let me know and I will make arrangements.
I will not rush you, we are there to enjoy every minute and even if some hikes can be more strenuous than others, we will take the time that you need, you will be able to take photos and videos or just have a breath of fresh air.
I promise laughter, smiles, food orgies and some drinks for those who like a glass of wine or fruit juice alike.
If you want to connect with wonderful people and spend days and weekend trips hiking, visiting cities and towns and observing our wonderful wildlife in their natural elements, join me on my trails.
I am known to attract the sun on a rainy day, magical skills? I do not know but until now, I have not been proven wrong! 😄
I will take you on hikes from 8 to 20 miles, in our hills, moorlands, along the coast and in mountains or wooden areas. We will hike, walk swim and go rafting or cycling.
On nature trips to observe seals, dolphins, gannets, puffins, wading birds and birds of prey in the richest nature reserves either by train or private coach.
I will lead trails through historical towns, cities and ancient archaeological sites.
There is a lot to see and do and you will have a wonderful time and will fill your head with souvenirs of our giggles and journeys.
I look forward to being on the road by your side.
See you soon!
Jon

If you miss a trip:
£15 trips: You may transfer to to a future trip of the same price if you cannot make it.
£70 or above: No refund or transfer possible as you would have blocked a spot and I would have paid for transport already.
3)Abroad trips: I only allow people that I know to join the trips abroad so please join a UK trip before signing up for a trip abroad. -
Questions: I am more than happy to answer any relevant questions, but please, read the descriptions. I receive dozens of messages per day, I have a few thousands people on my 4 platforms, and half of you are regulars, I am juggling with 2 other jobs and have on average 8 trips per months, when I am not checking a new hike and I cannot spend as much time chatting with all of you lovely people. So most questions will be answered on the Event page, any practical information will be given to the people who have booked only. I do not share my routes. I do not provide exact locations to people who have not booked and only allows people who have been prebooked on the trips, so please, do not just turn up without bookings as you will be turned away. If however you have a genuine question that has not been answered in any of the pages, please do not hesitate to ask them all within a single message. I would greatly appreciate it. If I do not answer, the answer is either on the page, or I have not had time to come back to you yet, it can take 48 hours sometimes :)
-
In the eventuality that our trains, planes or coaches, or any public transportations are delayed, or cancelled, which is out of my control, I do not pay for taxis or alternative route, if this happens, you will be able to claim delay repay from the train companies who will reimburse your train ticket and some eventual costs in most cases if issues occurred. By signing up to my events, you agree to this.

Autumn colours part 3: Bath Skyline circular, and travel included
Victoria Coach Station, 164 Buckingham Palace Road, London, GBHello my sweet Jonions and future ones! I know, strange word, between a stinky vegetable and a copyrighted cartoon species ( don't worry if it sounds harsh, if I have to be compared to the leader in the cartoon, you win!) but this is how I call my sweet hikers with all my love!
It is time to go to Bath and visit this stunning, amazing, fantastic, fabulous city. We do not get short of words when it comes to describe what is England's most beautiful city. Trust me, if you haven't been (yet), it is time to come and join me on my trails.
This is one of my two hikes in the region and this is the one you want to choose if you wish to spend time visiting Bath in full.
We will begin our tour with a hike around the city's skyline, I mean, this is a NOT TO BE MISSED trail, Bath is surrounded by hills and the views from the top are something that you will not quite be able to forget. We will hike through woodlands and countryside, walk along castles, manor houses and through one of the best preserved Roman cities in Europe and certainly, Britain's best. You will admire it both from within and out.
After the hike, we will have a walk around town where I will show you what the city has to offer. We will get lost in its streets, have a peak at the abbey and the stunning Pulteney Bridge; It is one of only four bridges in the world to have shops across its full span on both sides and one of the most beautiful in Europe.
If you wish ( at an extra cost) you can visit the Roman Bath, number one attraction in the city. The city became a spa, named by the Romans Aquae Sulis ("the waters of Sulis") c. 60 AD when the Romans built baths and a temple in the valley of the River Avon. The Abbey was founded in the 7th century and became a religious centre; the building was rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries. In the 17th century, claims were made for the curative properties of water from the springs, and Bath became popular as a spa town. There are many Georgian structures crafted from Bath stones that gives its unique style to the city, the most famous monuments include the Royal Crescent, Circus, Pump Room, and the Assembly Rooms.
And of course, we will end our trip with a delightful meal before we hop on the coach back to London.
If you like beauty, history, and having a lot of fun and laugher, you will have a blast so click and join this fabulous trip.

TRANSPORT: Trains to Bath cost £70 return plus the fee and the coats would come up to over £100, expensive I know, so to save money, we will use the national express coach from Victoria Coach station taking just 45 minutes extra for half the price. The journey time is just under 3 hours. ( Bath is far you know) so if you do not like to be on the road for so long, I would not recommend.
