Sunspot area Rim Trail

I've chosen a couple of sections of Trail 105 around the Sunspot Solar Observatory that equals about 6.5 miles with less than 500' change in elevation. This part of the Rim Trail has great views and old growth forest and the observatory is worth a visit. It's about a two hour drive time for Las Cruces and maybe another 20 minutes from El Paso. For Las Cruces hikers we'll meet at the K-Mart on N. Main and leave from there at 8:00. For the El Paso hikers I'll help coordinate a carpool. This should be a nice one to beet the summer heat.

This was a very pretty hike. Pretty easy overall. I liked the people who went along, relaxed, easy-going and friendly. :)
