Fillmore Canyon (or "lower" Fillmore Canyon, more accurately) is one of the more difficult "official" trails at Drippings Springs Natural Area. Hike starts at the La Cueva Picnic Area and goes to the Fillmore Canyon waterfall.

The trail is family friendly but pets aren’t allowed. Dress accordingly for the weather, wear hiking shoes, bring plenty of water and a snack. Hiking can be dangerous so be a responsible hiker and pick the right hike for your ability.

DISTANCE is ~3–4 mi roundtrip.

ELEVATION GAIN is is some 450 ft gained.

FEES: $5/vehicle, paid at the trailhead If you have a Federal Lands Pass, please bring them; they are accepted here. If you carpool please remember to compensate your driver for fuel!

DURATION: Finish by early/mid afternoon.

PET FRIENDLY? No; pets are not allowed in Drippings Springs Natural Area.

SKILL LEVEL is reasonably beginner friendly, low-end of intermediate.

TERRAIN is well-maintained gravel trail, with several minor ups-and-downs.
