Is the 'bring a mussle' statement serious?

Given some of the INCREDIBLY idiotic things that have happened w/ dogs on hikes, yes and no. I don't enforce it but it's a recommendation… the Meetup group isn't responsible if your dog bites someone (has happened before) and your dog gets shot (hasn't happened and I don't want it to).

OMG! Ok, I'll decide in the morning whether to take her or not. I don't have a mussle nor have the time or interest in getting one to do that but I hear you. She's been socialized really well and will stay leashed (concerned of losing her otherwise) but will leave w/ troubles in any way including w/ any troubles of her adjusting or settling. Thank you!

Thank you. I'll plan on meeting there but driving separately in case I poop out in the heat. I do not know where it is so this is all very helpful!! So glad to be able to bring my dog who will definitely be leashed. See you at KMart.

Kaye - I believe dogs are allow at Baylor Canyon and the group usually asked that the dog be leashed. Yes, meet up at K-mart for carpooling and head out together or separately. If anyone wants to meet at the trailhead that is ok. My guess would be it's about a 10 minute drive to the trailhead.

Is anyone that's going bringing a dog?? Does anyone mine if I bring mine? She's very friendly w/ humans and still socializing her w/ dogs (she gets skiddish, curious and barks at times w/ them).

Thinking of attending. How does this work, meet up at KMart and head out together or separately?? About how long of a drive to get there from KMart?

My guess is 6 miles and it will take about 4 hours.
