I have signed up for one of the trips for the El Paso Celebration of Our Mountains. See website: (http://www.celebrationofourmountains.org/2013-calendar/). I am not leading this trip or in any way responsible for the content of the trip. I am planning on going and can fit 3 more people in my car.

I am planning on leaving around 6:30 on Sat morning and Jim Contreras has suggested that people from LC meet them at Pancho Villa SP at 8:30. On the way back if I have enough energy I am planning on spending a little time at Rockhound State Park. There are a couple short trails in the area. I am planning on getting back to LC in the early afternoon, but do not have a set time. I am playing this trip by 'ear', since I not been to any of these areas before.

where to meet: Milagro's at 630 am
to bring: water, lunch, sunscreen, hat, bucket, trowel, if needed: documentation for Border Patrol checkpoint.

email from Jim: We will be meeting at Rudy's BBQ on Artcraft Rd at 7 a.m. an caravan from there. We suggest you bring water, sunscreen, and a snack for lunch. A high clerance vehicle is recommended. Bring a pail and a small shovel i,e (a trowel, for collecting. We will be collecting Leprachaun Jasper, Geodes and Thunder Eggs. It will be a fun trip.

later email: I hope you get more people to come. It will be fun. You can meet us in Columbus at Pancho Villa SP if you don't want to come to El Paso Saturday morning, We will get there at about 8:30.
