Dog Canyon to Sunspot, and back.

A 20.2 mile hike from Oliver Lee (Dog Canyon) SP (just outside the park for me) to Sunspot Solar Observatory Visitor Center, and back down to the park. Strenuous hiking for 10 hours, with 4,800' of elevation gain and loss. Meet at the State Park, or on the road in front, and hike to the top. If you park in the park, pay $5 for the privilege to park at the State Park, and hike a whopping 1000' on the trail before entering the national forest and hiking the remaining 10 miles (20 total). Traverse from high Chihuahua Desert vegetation, to the mixed conifer with a smattering of sub-alpine fir and spruce at nearly 9300'.
