We will hike up to Baylor Pass from Aguirre Springs (east) side. It is on official, well maintained trail. The trail is about 2.5 miles one way, and that makes the roundtrip 5 miles, with about 800' of elevation gain. Factoring in the breaks we are likely to take, the whole hike will take about 3-4 hours. And that means, once the hike is done, LUNCH TIME!
Come and do the hike with us, and don't forfeit the chance of lunching with the group either.
DISTANCE is ~5 mi, out-and-back.
ELEVATION GAIN is ~800 ft gained.
FEES: $5/vehicle, paid at the trailhead. Cash only! If you have a Federal Lands Pass, please bring them; they are accepted here.
DURATION: Finish by late morning/early afternoon.
PET FRIENDLY? Yes. Bring a muzzle (you shouldn't need be told to bring a proper leash), and if you'd like to unleash, ask others before you do so.
SKILL LEVEL is reasonably beginner friendly. This among the easiest of the hikes this group does.
TERRAIN is well-maintained trail, mostly in the shade.
WEATHER is TBA.
AFTERWARDS we will get lunch somewhere.
