Hike and explore Kilbourne Hole, a maar volcano crater about 1.5–2 hours/34 miles west of El Paso in New Mexico.
It is an amazing place and also great for rock hounding. This will be a challenging hike over rough terrain; I know of no trails there. Walking sticks are highly recommended. As the site is on BLM land, there is no fee to enter the crater, but there are no facilities of any kind either. There is no cell phone service. I am not a professional guide, so come at your own risk.

Meet in El Paso: Academy Sports & Outdoors parking lot, located on the west side of El Paso near the Sunland Park Mall
Note: the poster (Samat) is not attending; please see the CotM website and/or contact Eric for more information.
