A fairly easy trail only a few minutes from town, Pine Tree Loop climbs some 1000 feet on the east side of the Organ Mountains, rising up from desert shrubbery to desert pine. The route is some 5 miles. Expect to be back by 1 pm, hopefully much sooner.
This group hasn't done Pine Tree Loop in a while (6 months?). If you're a beginner/intermediate hiker, this is the hike you've been waiting for — please attend and meet everyone! As usual, if you can't attend, even at the last minute, please update your RSVP so we're not waiting for you.
