We'll be going up to Ortega Peak via Alamogordo's "A" Trail (Lincoln National Forest T119). I may continue and do the entireity of the T119 myself for a total of 10 mi, depending how I'm feeling…
DISTANCE is 7.5–10 mi
ELEVATION GAIN is ~3100 ft gained.
FEES: None. Of course, if you carpool, please compensate your driver for gas!
DURATION: Finish by early to mid afternoon.
PET FRIENDLY? Yes. Bring a muzzle (you shouldn't need be told to bring a proper leash), and if you'd like to unleash, ask others before you do so.
SKILL LEVEL is *NOT* beginner friendly. No whiners!
TERRAIN is (mostly? sort-of?) well-maintained trail. Not much shade.
WEATHER is TBA.
AFTERWARDS we may get lunch in Alamogordo somewhere.
