Slot Canyon

 

Slot Canyon hike is at north of Radium Springs. Take I25 north to Dona Rd. exit 9 turn left and go it dead ends at Valley Rd. (hwy 185)turn right onto Valley and go serveral miles north to Hope Rd. Turn left onto Hope Rd. to the river and the levee, we will park here.

DISTANCE is ~4 mi round-trip.

ELEVATION GAIN is TBA.

FEES: None. Of course, if you carpool, please compensate your driver for gas!

DURATION: Finish by lunch.

PET FRIENDLY? Yes, if you don't climb. Bring a muzzle (you shouldn't need be told to bring a leash).

SKILL LEVEL is easy to moderate.

TERRAIN is typical desert terrain.

WEATHER should be clear.

AFTERWARDS we may stop by Blue Moon Bar (Radium Springs, NM). Cash only.
