Up Terri's Cut - Sane Hikers

We will head up the "A" Trail for a nice warmup...
...dropping into Terri's Cut above the lower waterfall... and hiking it to the top, just below the Bluff…

We will take our time up the canyon, enjoying the fun climbing. We will be doing Class I Canyoneering. (See below for detail on what that is)

We will hike from there over to the"A" trail... following it up to connect with the Ortega Peak Spur Trail... and hit the Peak.
We will head downhill from there (not really much choice!)... following the "A" Trail ... checking out the Fissure (Leah's Lair!) ... and the Old Gold Mine! Weather allowing, it should be an interesting day. Come join the fun.


Class I Canyoneering: Off Trail over uneven terrain; Occasional Use of Hands; Scrambling and Light Bouldering; Risk of Falling; Moderate exposure to water possible, Use of ropes might be desired Class II Canyoneering: Off Trail over uneven terrain; Frequent use of hands common; Scrambling, Bouldering and Climbing possible; Use of ropes advisable in some situations; Exposure to Water possible Class III Canyoneering: Off Trail over uneven terrain; Use of hands constant; Scrambling, Bouldering and Moderate Technical Climbing possible; Use of ropes Necessary for safety; Exposure to water possible (wetsuits advisable) Very Dangerous Situations!
