The hike is 6 miles, with about 800 'elevation gain, takes about 5 hours, it's an easy to moderate hike. Getting to the trailhead needs four wheel drive cars. If you have a four wheel drive car and willing to drive, please comment so.

Other: This hike is described in Greg Magee's book Day Hikes and Nature Walks in the El Paso-Las Cruces Area. According to the book and multiple sources, we will see petroglyphs and get to explore a old fluorite mine.
