This is a cross posting of Sierra Club event organized by Carolina Greenfield. And we will meet the Sierra Club hikers at the McKittrick Canyon Rangers Station.
McKittrick Canyon has been described as the "most beautiful spot in Texas" and in late October the fall colors should be spectacular. The changing of the colors are a bit late this year. The hike is a 6.4 mile out and back to Pratt Cabin. This is an easy hike with good trails, little elevation change, and great photo ops. http://www.nps.gov/gumo/planyourvisit/mckittrick.htm.
