Three Rivers Trail to Sierra Blanca Roundtrip

26 miles, 6'500' elevation gain. And it could be already pretty chilly on the top. Pushing the limit. A long day.

Meet us 6:00am at Kmart parking lot or 7:30am at Three Rivers Campground.

Questions or concerns call or text Yubao[masked], or Ryan 2162183627.

Zoie turned out to be a brilliant hiking dog. She forded the stream with much skill and agility, unlike my careful plodding! LOL

Hiked more than planned. Beautiful surroundings, the water was flowing! Thanks for being patient with the waiting!

I'm taking my daughter to Trinity Site instead today. I hope to catch this hike again next time.

I suggest you guys bring as few cars as possible. The parking lot is pretty full already.

The trail head, it's all the way in the back.

Is there any climbing involved cause I just bought a multi day pack that I want to get comfortable with before taking it on a 2 day hiking trip?

    April 2, 2015

    • Ryan C.

No climbing. Bring the pack! This will be a long, arduous (awesome!) hike to just below 12,000 feet.

      Ok cool. Thanks

FYI you don't need to do the full 26 mi; this is an out-and-back, turn around when and where you feel comfortable. But please be prepared to at least make it to the top of the ridgeline, the end of the Three Rivers Trail.

How many miles is it r/t to the ridgeline?

      April 2, 2015

    • Samat

      12ish

How many hours estimated? Will we need headlamps?

    1 · March 7, 2015

    • Yubao

And turn around at the ridge is a hike most hikers can handle.

Everyone should bring a headlamp, and make sure the batteries are good. Consider bringing extra batteries just in case.

Is this an overnight backpacking trip or straight through?

    March 1, 2015

    • Samat

      Straight hike
