...this is an exceptional bit of Canyon. We will enjoy a moderate pace up through the lower section to the large Dryfall... then backtrack to traverse up and out... to shortly descend back in to check out the top of that same Dryfall...
...then, we will enjoy nearly a mile of bedrock sidewalk!
Upon reaching the next blocking dryfall... we will exit and enjoy the Traverse over to the "A" Trail... where caves await! "A" Bluffs Cave... Leah's Lair... the Old Gold Mine.
This series, running for the next six months, is intended to give folks an opportunity to plan to hike a variety of the nicer cuts in the area... with each hike preparing the hiker to enjoy the final hike of the Series: Marble South.
While all the canyon hikes are unique and enjoyable in their own right, Marble South is a step up in difficulty; building slowly up to that Canyon is a good idea... and well worth the effort.
To make it easier for hikers to plan ahead for the commute, we are setting the third Saturday of each month as our target... 8am to give time for the drive over.
Note: the Trailhead may change each month...
All of these hikes will be challenging...Class I Canyoneering...Off Trail... Easier pace, but the nature of the full body scrambling can tend to tire you out by the end of the day!
