3rd Saturday Canyon Series: Progressive!

This second in the Series of Alamogordo Canyon hikes includes a meandering loop:  We will enjoy the lower section of Marble Canyon South, diverting up into the North Spur.  After checking out the huge Dryfall there, we will do a steep ascent, off trail (it's all off trail!) to loop the Ridge over into the middle canyon: Surprise!

Depending on how everyone is feeling, there is the chance we will round the day off with Quarry Canyon... or not.

This day will add up to lots of up and down... the technical demands are along the lower end of Canyoneering, but it will still tend to wear you out.

7 miles with 3,000' AEG?

We have dedicated the Third Saturday each month for the next six months for a series of Alamogordo Canyon hikes to both enjoy the Cuts... and to allow folks to work their way up to a level where they can enjoy the more demanding hikes, culminating in the final Adventure: Marble Canyon South.

Class I and Class II Canyoneering... Off Trail... Not for Beginners (...unless they do the entire series start to finish?!!

We tend to start on time... call if you are running late!
