The Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance is improving the Sierra Vista Trail in Las Cruces. Come lend them a hand. Meet at the Sierra Vista Trail head off of Soledad Canyon Rd. starting at 8am and going on most of the day.
Many a hiker has been confused and lost on trails, which could be not so pleasant an experience. Trail maintenance not only makes the trail more environmental friendly, more beautiful, easier to use, but also makes a trail easier to be followed.
Volunteering on trail maintenance makes a hiker understand trails better, thus less likely to lose one's bearing on a hike.
Bring a shovel, a clipper, a pair of garden gloves, or simply your bare hands. Let's come out on the trail and have some fun!
