Camp and Hike at Aguirre Springs

What: Meet us at the Aguirre Spring Campgrounds or Friday by Kmart parking lot at 6:00 pm for carpooling.

Bring: $10 in cash to pay to Steve for two nights group campsite fees. Group campsite is $50 per site per night. We are camping Friday and Saturday, and that makes $100. As the math goes, we have to have 10 people to make $100. Please pay your campsite fee to Steve instead of the paying post (the box), since he's handling reserving the site and paying the fee representing the group. Campsite fee does not exempt you from paying the day use parking fee, that is $7 per vehicle per day. If you have a pass (Golden Pass, National Park Annual Pass, etc.), please bring along.

Saturday hike: Indian Hallow is an eight miles round trip. The hike starts at 8:30 am.

Sunday hike: Pine Tree is a four miles loop. The hike starts at 8:30 am.

Bring: Water and all your essentials for camping tent, sleeping bag etc. and food. ( water is available in the campgrounds but bring water just in case)

Optional: camera, hiking stick etc.

Kid Friendly: No

Pet Friendly: yes

This is a so called car-camping event. If you are interested in camping and backpacking, but with little experience, this is a good chance to get your feet wet, to talk to some backpackers about essential gears, about how to pack light and so on so forth.

The deadline for signing up for this event is the weekend before. If you are truly interested in this event, please pay attention to that.
