Whether you call yourself a hiker or not, most likely, you have been to the waterfall in the Soledad Canyon/Bar Canyon day use area.
We will climb up the low ridge from the rock house, get around to the back of the waterfall, have a bird's-eye view of it. On the ridge, we will have a nice view of Dripping Springs area, impressive peaks and vistas of Organs (but we are not climbing any of those, simply to have a look at them). Surveying the whole Las Cruces metropolitan area at the advantage of ridge could be quite a satisfactory pleasure for hikers too.
This is an easy hike that most hikers can handle.
The weather forecast says it's going to be sunny, and the temperature would be in the 70s when we are hiking there. An ideal day to get out of the door, enjoy nature, do some moderate exercise.
