Valles Canyon

Valles Canyon is North West of Las Cruces and only about 12 miles from the airport. According to Greg Magee "this is a moderate 5.5 mile hike with little elevation gain." Valles Canyon is a tributary to Broad Canyon and where the two intersect is the turnaround point. This is a nice little hike for a short Sunday hike. Hopefully the weather will corporate..

I like to put my dog in a harness in case he goes over the edge (I'm a worrier) or needs a lift up. He is small though.
