Hike Cherry Creek in the Gila wilderness

With tall ponderosa pine and oak trees to keep us company, we will hike the cherry creek trail. This is an in and out hike of about 3.5 to 4 miles round trip. The temperature is about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Las Cruces. Depending on the weather there probably will be running water in the creek. So you might need water shoes and maybe a rain coat (or a big umbrella).

This is an easy hike with some easy bouldering. We will also cross the creek several times.

This will be a pot luck lunch at the trail head after the hike.

Dog friendly, children also.

Fun is mandatory

This is a 2.5 to 3 hr. drive. PLEASE be on time.

The drive is about 150 miles one way. went with the high desert hikers on Monday July 6 and he charge 10.00 for gas and wear and tear. That seemed fair.
