Soledad Canyon/Bar Canyon Waterfall Hike

WE WILL BE HIKING UP THE ARROYO FOR A CHANGE .We will hike Bar Canyon/ Soledad Canyon. We will begin the hike at the trailhead. Stay to the right, follow the trail counter-clockwise. At 1.5 miles there is a junction where the trail divides. Continue straight ahead to the old rock house and the waterfall. At 1.63 miles we reach the old rock house. Continue down this trail to the waterfall. The trail will head to the right, up a small hill, then left into a narrow dead-end canyon. The waterfall is all the way back. To finish the loop, return the the junction where the trail divided. Turn right, and follow the trail back to the trailhead.

The hike is totaled 4 miles, all on well maintained trail, with a couple hundred feet of elevation only.

This is an easy hike that suits for most hikers from children to whiteheads. After the fresh rain, the waterfalls should be running big. Only to see that, is worth the effort.

The hike should last about 2 hours. Come on out and have a morning stroll with us!

Meet us at Milagro at 8:30 am for carpool, or 9:00 am at trailhead.
