    Sorrry Folks;
    I missed the hike because I thought it was going to rain a lot. It rained very little here in Socorro, TX. I went instead to Carlsbad Caverns. It was a good underground event. We got to walk in and out and now I too have a life time National Parks pass and can take up to three other people with me. So now we need to go to lots of National Parks.

    It is looking like weather is moving into Deming. It looks like rain. Possibly thunderstorms

      I am changing my rsvp. Possible thunderstorms at. 11:00 in Deming. Being out of rotator cuff surgery a mere 2 1/2 months I'd Rather wait to go with good weather. Radar shows a wide spread rain going through Tucson headed east

    Steve, I probably won't go, but I want to mention one thing, in case you're not aware of it. There is a trail from City of Rocks to the top of Table "Tabletop" Mountain. This is a mesa just east of the park. It is a 4-mile round trip to the top and back, with about 800 feet of elevation gain, but the trail is arranged so it is not very steep. It is all on a well-groomed park trail. There are maps at the visitor center. It's a beginner hike. The view from the top is worth it.
