OK were on for sure, a day hike on Sunday April 6th
This hike is a very strenuous workout, it gains 2200 feet
altitude, round trip 7.5 to 8 miles, start at the Mundy's Gap trailhead in
Franklin Mts. state park which is on the west side of Transmountain Rd.
I hope to be on the trail between 8 and 8:30 and be back before, say, 2 or 3 PM.
I think if everyone is in fair shape we can get a group that will stay together,
and its a good trail in a popular place so theres little chance of getting lost.
Its a great view on top, El Paso is all around, you can even see the
Samalayuca sand dunes way down in Mexico on a clear day.
Its $3 for entry to the Franklin Mts. TX state park.
