We're losing some great journalists.....
Dori Maynard, a tireless champion of diversity in SF Bay Area news organizations, passed away this week at 56.
Japanese reporter Kenji Goto -- a brave journalist in a tough war zone --was murdered by ISIS in late January. Brian Williams -- one of the most trusted people in journalism -- lied about his background. David Carr -- one of the most respected writers at the NY Times -- passed away, leaving a void.
This month, we thought we'd invite you to join us for no-host dinner in the private downstairs dinning room of Sears Fine Foods so we can talk over what's happening in our profession. We often hear from our members that they want more time to speak with one another -- this is a great opportunity for that.
There's no fee to join us for dinner. Please note that happy hour ends at 6, so you might want to come a few minutes early.
Sear's is a historic restaurant just a half-block from Union Square in San Francisco. It's just two blocks from the Muni/BART station at Powell. Bike and car parking are available at the Sutter-Stockton or Union Sq. garages.
To help the restaurant plan, please reserve only if you plan to come. (If you change your mind, please change your response.)
See you there!
