### About the Organiser

Gearóid Carey holds a master’s degree in counselling and has over 20 years of experience working in mental health and recovery.
He is the author of Journey to Democracy: The End of Tyranny, which explores how societies develop the institutions that protect freedom and prevent tyranny.

The End of Mental Illness is a hopeful talk and discussion about the future of mental health, recovery, and human wellbeing.
Today, millions of people are struggling. Many are waiting too long for help. Many are given labels but not enough practical support. Many suffer in silence because they do not know what is happening to them, what to do next, or where to turn.
