This is a coordinated workshop led by both Maryam and Bonita. First Bonita will lead you on a guided meditation to meet with your angels and ask them to show you what you look like in their eyes, how you appear when in your true form. Then Maryam will review the basic history, purpose and techniques of the Mandala. Maryam will help us to artistically translate our meditative visions into our own personal Mandalas. You do not need skill or talent to enjoy this workshop, just a desire to learn and have fun.

The word Mandala is Sanskrit for "circle". Manadals offer balancing elements, symbolizing unity and harmony. It also represents Wholeness, our relation to the Infinite, the world within our body and mind and the world outside.

The mandala is used in many spiritual traditions around the world. It is also used as an assessment tool in psychology (Art Therapy). The Jungians consider it as an indicator of internal processes. Jung referred to it as "cryptogram" or encoded message from the inner self.

It is also used in many practices of meditation.

In this practical workshop we shall explore our own personal mandalas and endeavor to find out what they may tell us about our own journey.

Mandalas and art materials will be provided however, feel free to bring in the medium of your choice.

For those over 21 years of age, this workshop can be taken on it's own or as a continuation to our October 8th workshop Meditative Coloring & "Wine-d Down" (https://www.meetup.com/Northern-Virginia-Nutrition-Wellness-Education/events/224851111/).
