JPM26 Week Prayer Time & Low-Key Fellowship
Details
JPM Week can be intense. If you’re looking for a quiet way to ground yourself amid a full schedule, you’re welcome to join us for prayer and optional, low-key fellowship during JPM26 Week.
The prayer part: There are several regularly-scheduled Catholic Masses (open to the general public) held at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, located just steps from the Marriott Marquis. All faiths are welcome. Holy Communion is reserved for Catholics; visitors from other faith traditions are welcome to remain seated during Communion and join in prayers as they feel comfortable. This is intended as a calm, respectful space for reflection, fellowship, or a quiet start (or close) to your JPM day. Sunday Masses are typically one hour and weekday Masses are typically 30 minutes or less.
The low-key meet and greet part: After select Masses (Sunday Jan 11 After 5:15pm Mass, Monday Jan 12 After 7:30am Mass, and Tuesday Jan 13 After 7:30am Mass), feel free to gather around the Praying Scientists Project sign near the entrance for casual conversation. There is no agenda, no programming, and no pressure to network. You’re free to come and go as you please.
Who this is for:
- Scientists, healthcare professionals, investors, and entrepreneurs who are attending JPM Week and seeking prayer, reflection, or a quiet reset
- Catholics attending these regularly scheduled Masses, as well as visitors from other faith traditions who are comfortable in a Catholic setting
- Anyone looking for optional, low-key fellowship without networking pressure
Who this may not be for
- Those looking for a structured networking event or formal program
- Those seeking an alternative or interfaith worship service (this is a Catholic Mass)
About the Praying Scientists Project
The Praying Scientists Project is a small, faith-based initiative that creates quiet, low-pressure spaces for people working in science, medicine, healthcare, and related fields to integrate prayer, reflection, and fellowship into their professional lives.
