AI powered applications often perform long running tasks, wait for user input, and communicate with external systems. But what happens if the application crashes halfway through?
In this live coding session, we'll build a Java application using LangChain4j, Temporal, Quarkus, and Qute to demonstrate how reliable AI applications can pause, recover, and continue exactly where they left off. We've already prepared the project infrastructure, allowing us to focus on implementing the business logic with AI assisted development.
Using a vacation approval system as our example, we'll explore how LangChain4j adds AI capabilities while Temporal provides durable workflow orchestration that survives crashes, waits for human interaction, and automatically retries failures.
