Welcome to the JUG Oberpfalz Online Live Coding Sessions! Our online sessions are held in English and streamed live on YouTube. The recording will be available afterwards. Join the live chat, ask questions, and follow along as we explore what the next generation of software development might look like.
This session is hosted by Johannes Rabauer with special guest Filip Hric from Qodo.

Session Topic
Here's the skeptical take: an AI reviewing code another AI wrote is an echo chamber. Similar models, similar blind spots, a polite "looks good to me." We don't know yet whether that's fair, and this session is where we find out.
Qodo's Agentic Toolbox claims an edge: its reviewer brings the team's coding rules and the codebase's history into the agent's session, instead of reading the diff cold. In the first half, Filip Hric from Qodo explains how it's meant to work and where it hooks into a coding agent.
In the second half, Claude Code builds a feature on a Java project, Qodo reviews it, and you help judge every finding: real bug, fair point, or false alarm. If Qodo just nods along, we'll see that too. Bring your doubts to the chat.

What we'll do

  • Talk through what Qodo's Agentic Toolbox is and how it plugs into a coding agent like Claude Code
  • Let Claude Code build a feature on a Java project, the way it's normally used
  • Load the team's coding rules into the agent's session and ask Qodo how the codebase fits together
  • Have Qodo review the result and feed its findings back to the agent to fix
  • Judge every finding live: real bug, fair point, or false alarm
  • Answer questions from the community
