Friday, Saturday, some other night of the week – couldn’t it be as simple as meeting up with some like-minded folk for a in a pub, bar or club for a drink and a good laugh? Without having to pay some dumb fee not knowing the kind of people going? People in their 20s to 40s (or whatever) just up for a good night out?
Well let’s see! So yes, just going to get some straightforward, down-to-earth drinks meets going, maybe with a club after, but generally to meet some new – and hopefully returning – people for a good laugh.
NB. This is a night – as all should be – for everyone to relax, feel safe and enjoy. Anyone (and yes unfortunately this is nodded more to blokes) who can’t respect boundaries shouldn’t join or attend and will receive zero tolerance for behaviour that makes anyone else’s night less than smashing. Enough said on that.
I envisage mainly in the centre but a little further NES+W quite likely also. Just upbeat places, definitely nothing pretentious, crowdpleaser music at a club or otherwise (90s, 00s and other decades besides, dance, rock, indie classics etc). Whatever your age or style, single or coupled wanting to make a few new mates and enjoy a night out, click the join button come along!
PS. Final point: Please, only people who are actually going to RSVP and attend. Doesn’t matter if the numbers are good or great, if an organiser is booking space they can lose a venue’s support from too many no-shows. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s better to remove no-showers than indulge people who perennially get cold feet or can’t be bothered to change their attendance. Thanks guys.
