Gifford Pinchot State park is a 2,338 acre state park with 340 campsites, cabins and yurts. It features two 18 hole disc golf courses and volleyball courts. Its central feature is a 340 acre lake with a beach for swimming and boating and fishing activities. Canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and row boats may be rented the main boat launch. Pontoon boat tours of the lake are also available. Several hiking trails pass through the park.
Proposed Schedule:
Friday, Jul 10, 2026 - Arrive. Set up. Discuss Saturday's activities.
Saturday, July 11 - Proposed water day. We will forego our usual dinner for shared beach cuisine/all day munching
Sunday, July 12: Breakfast, strike camp and return home
Participation in the above schedule is purely voluntary as there are so many other activities to participate in.
Ranger programs for this date have not yet been released.
DETAILS:
Campsite amenities include a fire ring and table. Water, bathrooms and showers are nearby.
I ask that everyone bring a bundle of firewood to support our evening campfire.
If you are bring your own water craft, please check PA requirements.
