Line diving, Snorkeling and cook out!

Details
WE MISS YOUR FACES! The past few years have been wild, covid shut down the meetups and then we got focused on classes and charters and the shop...but these meetups are so much fun and we kind of got away from them but now we are bringing them back, and kicking it off with the 5 year anniversary of our very first meetup!
WHAT: Freediving, snorkeling, and grilling
Join us for a full day of water, sand, sun, food, and best of all a great group of divers!
Line diving:
The freedivers who have taken a class will train from 0800-1030. In order to participate in the freediving portion you need to sign up on our website (link below with a 100% discount, click on the June 4th date) so we can have enough floats. Divers must have proof of some sort of freediving certification, and you will need your own gear (the shop has rental gear available)

Snorkeling:
We will have two snorkeling sessions! The first one will be at 8AM, complete with a guide that will take you around the Marine Room area. This is shallow, sandy bottom with some rocks and reef and nothing much deeper than 10 feet. You will need snorkeling gear and basic comfort in the water. The second session will be a little more organic, essentially whoever comes back from line diving and wants to get out for a snorkel will head out for a snorkel. This usually happens around 1130-12
Social:
For the food we do it potluck style. We'll bring a tent, grill, and hot dogs but that's it so please bring something to share! Technically there isn’t any alcohol allowed at Kellogg park so…bring your own, whatever it is you want to drink!
Please keep in mind, we will be bringing hot dogs and non alcoholic drinks for free, plus all of our guides and instructors will be volunteering their time, so please consider donating to help show your appreciation!
WHERE: We will meet in the middle of Kellogg Park closer to the street side...just look for our awesome DiveViz tent!
GEAR:
Mask
Snorkel
Fins
Wetsuit - Freedivers will definitely want a 5mm open cell freediving suit. For snorkeling you can get away with a 3mm suit but you might get chilly after 30-45 minutes.
Weight belt - Freedivers with a 5mm suit will need about 12lbs. For snorkelers this is not required, but if you're comfortable with wearing a few weights it will help you get down to the bottom a little easier.
Camera! Bring your GoPros, waterproof phone cases, etc... the more pictures the better
De-fog
Towel for changing before/after
If you don't have gear we have it at our shop and you can book here:
