Installed by Enlightened Master H. H Paramahamsa Nithyananda, the Hindu Temple at Montclair holds the largest number of tallest deities in North America. With close to 50 deities of Enlightened Masters from the Vedic tradition, the Nithyananda Vedic Temple serves as a place of worship, meditation and celebration. The deities are cared for in traditional Vedic fashion, with rituals performed in an authentic Vedic ambiance. Deities including Sri Venkateswara, Sri Ganesha, Sri Paramashiva, Goddess Rajarajeshwari, Navagrahas, Shirdi Sai Baba, Hanuman – radiate Divine grace, energy and compassion. In addition, the Temple also houses an Anna Mandir, which serves prasad (energized food) to all visitors and devotees, all day, everyday. Navaratri, meaning “nine nights,” is one of the most sacred celebrations honoring Devi Adi Para Shakti — the Divine Feminine Cosmic Energy. Across nine nights and ten days, devotees honor the many manifestations of Devi, culminating in Vijaya Dashami, the celebration of victory over negativity and the triumph of dharma, courage, and higher consciousness.

Navaratri is a time for prayer, chanting, music, dance, sacred rituals, reflection, and coming together as a community.

During this sacred period, devotees engage in deeper spiritual practices and seek greater clarity, healing, and connection with the Divine.
