What we’re about
Our purpose is to bring together people who make stuff in their spare time to teach each other what we know, to do together projects that are too big or specialized for individuals, and to educate and entertain the idly curious as inducement to participate. To the idly curious we say:
Ever want to build your own rocket from scratch, create your own MP3 player, make a robot from recycled parts or extract DNA from houseplants in your basement. Join this group and reclaim the self-made scientist, hobby engineer and garage inventor inside. Why buy, when you can build? Help share your love of hands-on technology projects. Learn, teach and share all things electronic, mechanical, material and digital. Collaborate with others to complete projects in MAKE Magazine, Instructibles.com, and other sources of DIY inspiration.
