Join us for an evening of celebrating the medium of Virtual Reality (VR) and our community of VR creators who build in it.

KALEIDOSCOPE Showcase Vol. 1 is a global event series for Virtual Reality creators and serious enthusiasts that explores the art and science of virtual reality. Featuring a curated selection of groundbreaking, immersive Virtual Reality experiences from independent artists, the Showcase promises to be an evening filled with excitement and inspiration. Over 40+ VR stations will be available during the evening, making this one of the largest collection of VR experiences in the Bay Area.

Help to build the VR creator community in the Bay Area as we bring together local innovators to share their work, find collaborators, and to explore virtual reality as an emerging art form.

Timoni West

Timoni West leads design on Unity’s Labs team, focusing on the future of game development and creation tools in VR. Labs’ first project, EditorVR, was introduced at Vision Summit in February 2016. Before Unity, Timoni was SVP of Design at Alphaworks, and cofounder & creative director of Department of Design. She's also a mentor at the Upload Collective, advising new VR startups in the Bay area.

Marpi is a Technical Director/Creative Developer migrating between different technologies and media, in both the commercial and art worlds. He has worked with clients like Magic Leap, Salvador Dalí Museum, Disney, Adobe, and Nintendo. He’s driven by building 3D worlds, immersive experiences, and storytelling.

Isaac Cohen

Using the moniker ‘Cabbibo’, an homage to the late physicist Nicola Cabibbo, Isaac Cohen has published an eclectic array of works ranging from audiovisual fact-learning apps, interactive experiences made from recursive algorithms, to a real-time procedural music blogs where users traverse a universe of sound. In addition to creating a plethora of experiences, Cohen is also responsible for a number of open source tools to help others create stunning real-time graphics.

Android Jones

At the center of Jones’ work is spirituality and altered states of consciousness. Describing his work as Electro-Mineralism, Jones attributes his ability to create to the wonders of technology, crediting the planet’s resources for advancements in art production. Manipulating light and energy, Android Jones captures complex concepts while utilizing his formal background in the arts. Described as a digital alchemist, he is determined to alter the viewer’s perception, pushing the boundaries of the imagination through the use of innovative media forms.
