Thursday Euchre at Ike and Oak Brewery
Details
Join Us for Euchre!
No partner? No problem! Our euchre gatherings are relaxed and flexible, so come and go as you please. We mix up tables and partners throughout the night to keep things fun and dynamic.
We’re a lively group of euchre players who like to keep the game moving, but you don’t have to be a card shark to pull up a chair. If you know the basics, you’re in the right place. Don't worry if you're a little rusty.
Getting a few hands in online (Euchre 3D or Trickster are great) can help, but it’s not required. We’re happy to ease you in with a more relaxed table or a friendly partner who won’t judge you for reneging… at least not out loud. 😄 Just let me know ahead of time so I can help set that up!
We’re not a “learn-from-scratch” group, but if you’re still getting comfortable, we’ve got your back. Just let me know ahead of time. Otherwise, we’ll assume you’re ready to jump right into the mix. The goal is simple: have fun, play some good cards, and maybe talk a little (good-natured) smack along the way.
Got questions or not sure if it’s a fit? Feel free to message me directly on Meetup. I’m happy to help!
A couple of friendly reminders:
- We want to be great guests, so please remember we often take up tables much longer than a typical group, order at different times, and ask for separate checks. Keep that in mind when tipping, and be generous in a way that reflects the time and attention our servers give us, not just the final bill total.
- Limit phone use while playing, or let someone jump in if you need to step away.
- Since euchre is a four-player game, we sometimes have uneven numbers. We do our best to rotate players and keep things fair, but please feel free to step out between games to let others join in. The goal is for everyone to get a chance to play and have a good time.
- Lastly, if you're feeling under the weather, we'd love to see you when you're feeling better. Thanks for helping keep everyone healthy!
We collect $1 per player at the venue once everyone arrives (typically at our first switch-up around 7 pm) to help with group expenses, including Meetup fees and playing cards.
We play casual games to 10, stick-the-dealer, and keep things pretty classic. No extra variations. That means no Canadian loners, no "going under," no farmer's hands, and no ace-no-face re-deals. You do NOT need to hold trump to name it. If you're not sure why you'd ever want to do that, feel free to ask! 😉
Come shuffle, deal, and have a great time with us. Happy playing!
