MESSAGE FOR FOREIGNERS

This is a great way to explore the hidden gems of Osaka while speaking with English speaking Japanese people.

I have a natural curious nature and have traversed Kansai for over 4 years to find you the best trails, hikes, treks and tours!!!

Most gatherings are heavily discounted, only 1200yen for 4 hrs and often include lunch or hired out lodges!!!

On our walks you can learn the background of historically important locations, get connected with the Japanese culture and make new Japanese friends:)

MESSAGE FOR JAPANESE PARTICIPANTS

I have found that walking calms the nerves and makes people more open.

Japanese people (im half Japanese myself) often find it uncomfortable to be sitting opposite someone and forced to start conversation in English in a classroom. When your sitting, your normally sitting face to face. But when your walking, your walking side to side...this is much more relaxing and less confrontational way to chat:)

Sitting in a room (classroom, bar, pub etc) is too intense. Its a "still" environment!! and four ugly walls to look at. Outside the scenery is always changing and is a great way to keep the conversation going.

When your walking, people naturally flow and can easily swap language partners in a very easy way and it loosens you up. (In a bar or classroom, its awkward to change seats, I feel rude to the person sitting next to me, if i move seats).

Not to mention......it keeps you fit, rejuvenated, gives you a new refreshing outlook, learn the background of historically important locations and makes you more spiritual and connected with nature and the earth as a whole.

THIS IS A TOUR GUIDE NOT GUIDED BY THE WATCH

If we find something new and interesting along the way and we can chat about it (an interesting sculpture, a small hidden temple, cute little park, meet an amazing foreign street performer. Its like a guided walk.........but not knowing what will be next!!!! Its not like other hikes where you have to be at a place at a certain time.....here we are more relaxed.......and thats the way it should be:)

Searching and being curious to find fun and new things in our city of Osaka is another very important element. I must admit I am a very curious person!!! I want to know something new EVERYDAY:) Say for example if we find a sculpture in a park.......we can talk about...

1. What is it made from?
2A. Why do the birds shit on it at 1pm everyday? Yes, thats a bad word.
2B. What is the designers message?
3. Which politician recieved bribes to have the sculpture put there? hahaha
4. How did they build it?
5. How long would it last, if they build it in... China? :) awwwww. thats rude isnt it?

Every Walk will be different.

Example locations we have been to so far:

1. Visit Maishima Incendiary Plant

2. Walk from Tennoji to Shitennoji temple

3.Minoh waterfall hike (lunch included)

4. Hozanji Mountain side trek (with amazing hired lodge views)

5. Tour guide of Banpaku Koen ( entry fees included)

These walks will be at a very relaxed easy pace and it will be only about 5~8 kms. Its will be good for you health too!!!! There is everything to love about the great outdoors of Kansai:)

🍂🕊️Autumn Foliage: Myoken & surroundings Day Hike🕊️🍂

I like this place soooo much i want a buy a house here one day:) Nearby Osaka, but feels like your deep in the forest!! https://youtu.be/l7TvBDn1Uag (VIDEO: Views from Mt Myoken) (PIC: A carpet of complete RED leaves at the top of the mountain) This place is totally lost to the world.... at the start of the trip we see a town full of amazing traditional abandoned houses. We can freely go searching around these places and see some fantastic HISTORY.......yeap history:) https://youtu.be/710ekNNu0VA (VIDEO: Exploring these abandoned houses) After we will walk a couple of kilometres and arrive at a cable car......Superb views from this very very steep ascent!!! Finally we will take the final stage to the top by single ski chair lift:) Its a gorgeous long ride (maybe about as long as 10mins, 2km long). The chairs are only about 2/3 metres above the forest floor but still fantastic viewing. On our return we will drop by a feet onsen....relax and enjoy the peace and harmony while you get your feet soothed in hot water. I will show you how to get this ticket when you come to the station:) WHERE: Meet at Hankyu Umeda station on the 2nd floor outside the small ASNAS convenience store, its near the gates and near the “Seijo Ishi 成城石井 supermarket” (NOT 3rd floor, it's the 2nd floor!!!). 🍁🥁 Hidden "Fire of Autumn" Yamazaki Hike🥁🍁

An absolute hidden gem to find the yellow,red, purple and orange leaves:) This hike is long at 7.5km~8km in round trip length, but the overall effort isn’t high, and it offers a LOT of things to see and enjoy. Quiet tourist-free bamboo forests, abandoned mountaintop shrines, awesome views of Kyoto and Osaka, and a remote temple alight with unburning autumnal fire await you. Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and clothes appropriate for the weather conditions on the day of the hike. Bring plenty of water, a bento, a camera, and your sense of adventure! WHO: Anyone...this is an easy hike WHY: Got to enjoy Autumn leaves:) THE PLAN 10:35-10:50 - Meet at Hankyu Umeda Station; we will assemble outside the ticket gates near tracks 1-3 on the third(3rd) floor. 10:50-11:00 - Board the 11:03am Semi-Express for Kyoto Kawaramachi 11:40-11:50 - Get off train at Oyamazaki Station, start hike. 11:50-12:20 - Walk to Hoshakuji Temple, see the 3-story pagoda, and autumn colors, easy ascent. 12:20-1:00 - Hike to Aokibadani View Point and Picnic Area & eat lunch. 1:00-2:30 - Hike to Yokokuji Temple, we will see Hatatematsu Observation point, the abandoned Tamadeyorimatsurikitarusakatoke Shrine, pass by the summit of Mt. Yamazaki, and a couple of bamboo forests on the way. 2:30-3:15 - Enjoy the autumn leaves at Yokokuji Temple 3:15-4:45 - Return 5:00 - board train 5:38 - Arrive Hankyu Umeda station, see you next time PARTICIPATION: 1500yen for adults, 500yen for kids

Amazing greenery and dense forest. This wooden footbridge is the LONGEST IN THE ENTIRE OF JAPAN. An astonishing 280 metres long.....im scared of heights so it was difficult for me to do...but when I crossed it was pretty satisfying!!! The stunning centerpiece "Hoshi no Buranko" (Star Swing Bridge) takes it’s name from the Tanabata legend because it is believed the the Amanogawa River (Milky Way) runs through the park. ( PIC: the stunning bridge!!!) WHERE GOING TO MEET: TWO OPTIONS 1. At KEIHAN Yodoyabashi Station "CENTRAL GATES" at 1 1am OR 2. At Keihan Kisaichi Station (私市駅) at 12pm WHO: Anybody can come, even kids...(kids 5years or older) WHY: Because these are some astonishing views. Viewing Japan`s nature at its finest. ATTENDANCE FEE: 1500yen, 500yen for kids. THINGS TO BRING: -Walking shoes (no heels) -A large bottle of water -Snacks as there are no shops around there HIKING GRADE: 2/5 . Anybody with reasonable fitness can do this walk:) Kids 5 years and over.
