Mt.Wakakusa Burning🔥 (Mount Wakakusa Fire Festival)＆Exploring Nara【若草山焼き＆奈良散策】

We’re going to see Wakakusa Yamayaki, one of Nara’s most famous winter traditions!
The event starts in the evening, so we’ll meet in Nara around noon.
First, we’ll enjoy a stroll around Nara Park and have lunch in Nara, then we’ll watch the Wakakusa Yamayaki.
Whether you’ve never been or want to go again with a different group, come join us!
💛About Wakakusa Burning(Yamayaki)

• Wakakusa Yamayaki is a traditional event where the grass on the slopes of Mount Wakakusa is set on fire all at once.
• Before the ignition, there are grand fireworks and traditional ceremonies (such as torch lighting and processions) at the foot of the mountain, lighting up Nara’s night sky.

• Massive mountain fire: The entire mountain is engulfed in flames—a breathtaking sight
• Fireworks: Winter night sky lit up before the mountain fire
• Traditional processions and rituals: Ceremonies led by Shinto priests from Kasuga Taisha and Kofukuji Temple
• Spectacular views from Nara city: Enjoy the dramatic scenery from the city and the mountain foothills

※There will be a waiting time of about 2 hours before the fireworks. Please dress warmly 🧣🧤
※Lunch will be at a restaurant near Nara Park, so there’s no need to bring your own food.

• 1st : Osaka Namba Station (West Ticket Gate) at 11:00 AM
• 2nd : Kintetsu Nara Station (Exit 2)at 12:05 PM

• 11:22 　Depart Osaka Namba Station (1st Meeting Place)
  ※11:28 　Departure from Tsuruhashi Station is also okay
• 12:01 　Arrive at Kintetsu Nara Station(2nd Meeting Place) (🚻 toilets available)
• 12:00–15:00 　Stroll around Nara Park & lunch
• 15:00–16:00 　Walk to the foot of Mount Wakakusa
  ※About 2 hours of waiting before the fireworks. Please dress warmly
• 18:15 　Fireworks start
• 18:30 　Mountain fire (entire mountain ignited)
  ※The mountain fire burns for about 30 minutes. Since the fireworks and the mountain fire happen simultaneously, you can also take collaborative photos
• 19:30　 Kintetsu Nara Station – End of the event

今回は、奈良を代表する冬の風物詩 若草山焼き を見に行きます！
イベントは夕方からの開催なので、お昼ごろに奈良へ集合。
まずは 奈良公園周辺の散策 や 奈良でのランチ を楽しみ、その後 若草山焼きの鑑賞 を予定しています。
まだ行ったことがない方も、別のメンバーともう一度行きたい方も、ぜひ一緒に行きませんか？
💛若草山焼きとは

• 若草山の山頂から中腹にかけての草地を一斉に焼き上げる伝統行事です。
• 点火前には、山麓で 大花火の打ち上げ や 伝統儀式（松明点火式・行列など） が行われ、奈良の夜空を彩ります。

✨見どころ✨

• 大規模な山焼き：山全体が炎に包まれる圧巻の光景
• 打ち上げ花火：点火前の冬の夜空を彩る花火ショー
• 伝統行列や神事：春日大社・興福寺の神職や関係者による儀式
• 奈良市内からの絶景：市街地・山麓から迫力ある景観を楽しめ
  ※花火打ち上げまで 約2時間の待機 があります。暖かい服装でお越しください🧣🧤
  ※ 奈良公園周辺のお店でランチを予定しているため、お弁当などを持参しなくても大丈夫です

• 第一集合場所：11:00 AM 大阪難波駅（西改札口）

• 11:22　大阪難波駅出発（電車）
  ※11:28　鶴橋駅出発でも可
• 12:01　奈良近鉄駅到着（🚻トイレあり）
• 12:00～15:00　奈良公園周辺散策＆ランチ
• 15:00～16:00　若草山麓へ徒歩移動
  ※花火打ち上げまで約2時間待機します。暖かい服装でお越しください
• 18:15　花火打ち上げ
• 18:30　山焼き（山全体の一斉点火）
  ※山焼きは約30分間燃え続けます。花火と同時に行われるため、コラボ写真も撮影可能
• 19:30　奈良近鉄駅　解散！
