Postgres extension for Parquet and Iceberg: pg_lake

Postgres locals David and Elizabeth Christensen have been working on an extension that connects Postgres to object storage like Amazon S3 and using flat files like csv, json, Parquet and Iceberg. This extension is open source and details on github at
https://github.com/Snowflake-Labs/pg_lake.

We'll talk about pg_lake, how it works, and how it might help data engineering pipelines. David did a lot of the extension development so he'll be available for conversation around how it was built.

We will meet at the Lenexa City Center library for a talk and then go to across the walk to the city market for snacks and drinks.
