The Triple Lakes kayak

A kayak trip thru the Triple Lakes leaving from Port Charlotte Beach Park.
About a four hour trip, with a stop on a "hidden beach".There is some "open water". I try to avoid it when I can, so we will be crossing from the beach straight across to the mangroves on the other side. We will be making at least two stops at beaches to get out and stretch our legs. I believe "intermediates" should be fine on this trip. Heading thru a small canal,by a residential area, then heading into a creek and paddling thru all three lakes. Over to the Mayakka Cutoff, back out to the Harbor along the mangroves to the next beach. This a round trip -one-way-, we won't have to double back. ;-)

This is a "pay-to-park". complex, .75cents per hour.

When entering park please drive on over to boat ramp area, back up to the beach side, NOT down to the ramp, and we will be there to help unload kayaks. We will be setting our kayaks on the beach before parking. After unloading then go park, the spaces are numbered. You must have your space number before getting your parking ticket. Then you have to put your parking ticket inside visible thru windshield, don't want the man to get you!

Please remember to bring PLENTY of water, and any snacks you prefer. Staying hydrated is very important!!
